Good Afternoon and welcome to our last game of the season which is also the final Western League game after our promotion to the Southern League. I think most fans who have travelled away over the last couple of season's have been very impressed by the clubs in the league and their friendly and supportive attitude speaks volume for the league.
We now have a few weeks off before we have our first pre season game here on July 12th against Arnold Town, congratulations must be extended to Trevor Mewton and the reserves who secured their Championship here on Tuesday with a thumping 8-1 victory over Newquay and we wish them well for the Everly Cup Final on the 11th May.
Earlier this week we heard that Steve Matthews will be leaving us next month as head of youth, I'd personally like to thank Steve for all his hard work and dedication in his time here, the transformation to the youth has been beyond belief and I and many others think it's a major mistake to let him go, it's been a honour to work with you and we wish you well for the future.
On a more positive note congratulations to the group of 12 stewards who completed their NVQ course and become the most qualified Stewards in the South West, thanks must also go to Linda Hutchinson (Penwith College) and to our assessors Richard and Claire for putting up with us over the last six months. We are always looking for more stewards or helpers to work on match day's and if you are interested please contact me on Truro 274899 or whitetiger2007@sky.com, we have a great friendly team here and you will be guaranteed a warm welcome.
Finally a big thank you to Bonnie, Val and Tamara, the ladies from the tea hut for all their hard work over the season and we hope they enjoy their well deserved break, and of course the biggest thank you must go to you the fans for all your support, long may it continue and look out the Southern League the "White Tigers" are on their way.
