dont know if this has been posted previously but
St Blazey have been the best cornish side over the last 50years

why are Truro 51seasons and others 55, taking the last 2 seasons we are still 2 out ? _________________ There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that dont.

Statistical discrepancy likely to do with City leaving the SWL in the mid 1970's because of the road widening scheme on Treyew Road.
Suspect Falmouth might like to contest any notional 'title' of best Cornish side over last the 50yrs. |

noticed it on wikipedia a while ago
They were founding members of the South Western League in 1951, but stumbled in the initial years, requiring re-election in both of their first two seasons to remain in the division. However, they have won the championship five times since, and have only been out of the division for three seasons when they lost their ground due to road widening. _________________ www.myspace.com/michaelandrewthecat

I can remember when ST AUSTELL were by far the best team in Cornwall, admittedly it was just after the war, they were so good everyone hated them, now that has a modern ring to it. _________________ "CHAMPIONS AGAIN"

And we read in the paper that last weekend St Austell's match was postponed because they 'failed to raise a side'!
The end is nigh! |

St austell was always the Truro city boxing day fixture before Falmouth town. I wonder which 'local team' we will face at christmas in the forthcoming season? |

I reckon it could be Taunton Town. _________________

Statistics are all well and good - but assessments on 'The Best Team' can be made in different ways.
I am sure we will ask the questions - "Which Cornish Team has won a final at Wembley" and "Which is the only Cornish Team to feature in The Southern League"..?? |
