Yes, actually I'm 8'4"! Oh, just kidding.
Do I take it, then, from the mention of dimensions, that your youth don't play on smaller pitches? That daughter plays on for the U8s, they play 7 v 7 and everything is scaled down. Not so in Cornwall?
If I had pictures of the other kids I'd post 'em, but Wifey had lost the wretched camera! _________________ UP to the South! |

Xembla - Our youth sides (mini-soccer), up to and including U11's also play 7 v 7 on scaled down pitches with smaller goals. From then on it's the proper game.
You look as if you've lost weight compared with previous 'photos you've posted!

Lost weight ha ha ha.
just keep hiding behind that upright.
Dustin, I bet you still have the photos you sent out at Xmas, they did the Pascoe's credit.
I put Pascoes on spell checker and the error report showed PASTIES
(Strange but TRUE). _________________ "CHAMPIONS AGAIN"

Actually (harrumph) -- I have lost weight. More than a stone to date! I got tired of the fat American jokes -- plus Mountaineer was threatening to charge me for
two
people if I came back to stay!
Of course, since most American are fat, I continue in the same jolly spirit as before! (and I got a long way to go to thin!)
That pitch does look like hell, doesn't it? We're had our wettest April ever here and the fields were always a bog and any running just chewed them up. The thing you can't see in that picture is the slope! Betsy was in the "uphill" goal. A ball rolled firmly from the top end will wind up in the opposite net! _________________ UP to the South! |

since I'm bored. Notice the causal approach to "uniforms." Betsy's was the team playing in white (natch), and here she's about to throw herself onto the ball and smother this close thing. The boy in the red sweat pants was the team star and he'll actually get to the ball first, carry it to the other end, and then put a shot so wide it went into the yard of a house across the street! Good times at the pee-wee level.
