That's an awful challenge.

Good luck to Eduardo for his rehabilitation. It may take a while. It's a shame because he has had a very promising season.

1256: Eduardo is given oxygen as he is stretchered from the pitch after eight minutes of treatment. Nicklas Bendtner replaces him. We have not been allowed to see a replay of the incident - which probably tells you how horrific it was.

1254: Thankfully, you rarely witness scenes like these. The Arsenal team are looking around in absolute horror at the fate of Eduardo, who is being attended to by several medics.

1251: RED CARD Birmingham
Martin Taylor gets a straight red after a challenge on Eduardo. Cesc Fabregas urgently tells the physio to attend to Eduardo, with the rest of his team-mates looking shocked. The striker is badly injured - looks like it could be a broken leg.

And why there is no place for the picture on this forum.

Players break their legs from time to time, would we have the same furore if it had happened to a Wigan, Middlesborough or any other unfashionable teams player? I doubt it.
The game has speeded up, mistimed tackles sometimes look worse than the tackle was intended by the offending player.
Still photographs of the moment of impact do not give a true picture of the actual offence, the speed of the modern game is a factor to be considered.

Just seen the incident on BBC God I'm glad were not posting that on this site, memory races back to David Boost the Coventry player who had his leg shattered against Liverpool this seems as bad if not worse then that.
I'm pleased that after reflection tonight the Arsenal manager retracted his statement which he gave after the match lets all hope the player makes a full r and speedy recovery.

i reckon alan smiths was worse and they had no problem showing that on tele...

We were watching MOTD in Wetherspoon's last night, and a general cry of Oooh! came from those watching the highlights.
Looking back at it, just seems the player was a bit slow, and didn't show any intent of getting the player.

Robin,
That was David Busst playing against Man U. I always remember that incident being the worst I've seen, the press pictures were truly sickening.
Peter Schmichael was phtsically sick behind the goal and later received counceling.

Just to add, I remember David Busst managing a side visiting St Blazey a few years back, can't remember if it was in the Vase or FA Cup or a County game ( maybe one for The Chairman). After many years of healing his leg looked like he had been attacked by a shark.
