J.R. will not cut it in the Southern League. He was good with his head but not with the ball at his feet and would often lump the ball forward. He is a good Western League player but not good enough for the Southern league. |

SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!
The return of Bambi was mooted on this forum 7 days ago (see "Contracted Players 2008-09" thread) - even the reasons given!
An able replacement for Tom Gardner? (step 3 for the last 3 seasons)
not even close. |

Well, I wish Bambi well and hope he 'cuts the mustard', though I doubt he will be able to. I'd like to be proved wrong. |

If this is the case, it may be an early indication that Dave Newton will stay on as manager for next season. But then again, the season has just ended, we will see what happens by the time the season starts. _________________

Local paper suggests Newton will be doing coaching at the club and a new manager will be appointed from a ever growing application list.

Jase, I can answer that one. Top three are: 1) Ian Holloway (current Leicester City manager) 2) John Hollins (current Weymouth manager) 3) David Hillier (current joint manager of Oldland Abbotonians
Also, on JR - he is not good enough for the Southern league. He was dropped for a reason. |

Jase no idea as yet on the managers position lots of quality from applicants though, as for Bambi would say little chance at the moment of his returning to the club. _________________ The History Makers Are On The March |
