That's how many days have passed since the U.S. invaded Iraq. So where are we now and where do we go from here? Let's look back on the previous three years.

In his address to the nation shortly after 9/11, President Bush stated that not only would we go after the terrorist's, but also after countries that supported terrorism. Soon after that, we attacked Afghanistan. Two years later, we invaded Iraq. Afghanistan definitely was involved in terrorism by way of Taliban rule, a strong al-Qaeda presence, and bin Laden's overseeing it all. And we're not done there yet.

Iraq was different. They were not like Afghanistan in the sense that they were a terrorist outpost, but they did support terrorism. This is a well documented fact. What did President Bush say? (In case you conveniently forgotten already, see the paragraph above).

I will get to whether or not Saddam was supporting terrorism in a little while, but first, let's look at the reason given for invading Iraq to begin with…WMD! I have not ever, nor will I evade talking about this because I believe in facing the truth, good, bad, or otherwise. (Unlike others who shall remain nameless). To be honest, I have never been to Iraq and many of us haven't; therefore, I have no first hand information that Saddam did or did not have WMD's. I suspect that many of you reading this are in the same boat. What I do have are reports with factual information on both points of views, which I have to take and weigh carefully and then make up my own mind. Considering some of the testimony that has come out concerning this during Saddam's trial added to everything else, my "humble" opinion is that he DID have them and either hid them, or got them out of the country.

First question: Was there any evidence that Saddam ever had WMD?

YES!

Emphatically, YES!

He used them in the Iran/Iraq war and against the Kurds of Northern Iraq. We found the facilities that were used to make them and all kinds of weapon systems used to deliver them to the target. The evidence for this is overwhelming and anyone that denies these needs to do a little research. The Israeli's destroyed Iraq's nuclear power plant in 1981 out of fear that Saddam was developing, (or soon would), weapons-grade uranium or plutonium.

Now to the big question…did Saddam have them before the beginning of the invasion three years ago? Many think that all of Saddam's WMD were destroyed or removed after the first Gulf war. This may or may not be true. Could he have hid some or made more? YES!

Did they have the capability and know-how to build more?

YES!

Considering that they have found entire M.I.G. fighters buried in the sand, whose to say that they could not have done the same with the WMD and the mobile facilities to manufacture them?

Did we find any WMD? NO! There is much evidence that they were in Iraq shortly before the invasion. Click here

Saddam claims that there were none. But for the sake of argument, let's say he was telling the truth. (Hard to swallow I know, but try hard). The reasons given for invading Iraq were false, either because of misleading OR faulty intelligence. So what do we do now? The major offensives of the war are over, Saddam is on trial for his crimes and the repressive regime that kept the Iraqi people in bondage is dead. Do we just say, "Oops, sorry, we made a mistake", and let Saddam and his ilk out of jail and withdraw? Think hard now before you give your answer. This really should be a no-brainer and take less than a nano-second to say NO! If you said YES, then do yourself a favor, quit reading this article, go jump back into the warm cozy cocoon of liberalism and think happy, happy thoughts. The rest of this is beyond your capability of rational thought.

Saddam, his sons, and everyone involved were murderers and tyrants. The initial (supposed) mistake does not negate removing them from power, PERIOD!

Let's look at another angle. Suppose Saddam was lying and hiding the WMD. Where are they now? No one, it seems, wants to consider this. We know he had them, we can't seem to find them, and that leaves us two options. He really didn't have them, or he did and hid them or moved them out of the country…but where?

If he did move them outside of the country, who has the WMD’s now? If it was a country that is friendly to "western" nations, don't you think that they would speak up and tell everyone, "Hey, we have them, don't worry"? But no one has said a word. Who would receive these weapons and then not say anything? I'm not going to answer that last question. That's one that I will let rattle around in your brain.

Enough about the WMD dilemma! They have not been found and to tell you the truth, I hope they never are. We are not sure if Saddam had them or not. Bush did not lie, and people did not die because of it. WMD or not, Iraq was next on the list because Saddam supported terrorism. This is fact and is easily proven.

Now that we have covered the reasons for invading Iraq, how do we get out of this mess? The war is not going well as far as I'm concerned! The battle in Iraq is over, but this war is stuck in thick mud. We are not fighting a physical enemy there, but rather a multi-faceted ideology. It is similar to Viet Nam as it is hard to decide who is enemy and who is friendly. Not to mention the Shia and Sunni civil war that threatens to erupt at any moment, and the constant stream of terrorist's, (insurgents, freedom-fighters in libspeak), coming in from all point's of the globe. The newly elected government cannot agree on what day of the week it is and the Iraqi police and military cannot be trusted because of infiltration and bone-headedness.

For the U.S. to pull out now would leave Iraq in an extremely vulnerable position. A biblical verse fits well here: "The second possession would be worse than the first". I cannot see light at the end of this very long, dark tunnel.

The reason for this is one culprit…ISLAM! This theology has been violent for almost fifteen hundred years. Add to the violence, greed, deception, perverted lust, envy, corruption, and a maniacal belief in a blood cult, and you have the worst of humanity wrapped up in one huge chaotic package.

This is not a war between countries, or a clash of civilizations. It is a war between good and evil, light and dark. There is no way for the west to win this war. We could win the "battle" in Iraq, but the war would be far from over. Face it; we are in this one for the long haul. Even if we could get Iraq stable, the moment we pull out, Iraq would be invaded on all fronts by Islamic fundamentalists, and war lord terrorists and it would revert back within five years, if not, sooner.

Should we pull out? NO! I say stay there and while we're at it, we may as well invade Iran, Syria, and several others. We will probably have to re-institute the draft to accomplish this but there is no alternative now. It's better to keep them busy fighting us over there than to have to fight them over here.

Sorry to be a preacher of gloom and doom, but this has been coming for a long time. It started in the Garden of Eden. It was given a booster shot fifteen hundred years ago by Muhammad via Satan, and it will end when God Himself intervenes and destroys it. Many will die because of it. You think twenty-three hundred American servicemen and women is bad? Just wait until the total reaches into the billions! (Yes, I said billions).

Have heart though; there is a bright spot in the universe. His name is Elohim! He also goes by the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Bright Morning star, Fairest of 10,000's, Prince of Peace, Mighty Counselor, King of Kings and Lord or Lords…Jesus.

GOD

Pray you are on the right side when He ends this war. You say you believe, you do well…but remember, the demons also believe…and tremble.
