The Ibero-American summit ended in Santiago, Chile, Saturday, but not before King Juan Carlos I of Spain told Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez to "shut up."
Chavez first called former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar Lopez a "fascist" and then repeatedly tried to interrupt current Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, who was seated next to the king, Mercopress reported.
"Why don't you shut up?" Juan Carlos snapped at the leftist leader.


About a half million Spaniards were so amused when their king told Venezuela's president to "shut up" they want to hear the words every time their phone rings.

They have downloaded a mobile phone ringtone featuring the phrase "Porque no te callas?" or "Why don't you shut up?" leading Madrid daily El Pais reported on its website yesterday.
More than 700 videos have also been posted onto the YouTube website, parodying the King's breach of diplomatic protocol.
