BNP leadership issues - unhappy people!
|
|
Last weekend 5/6th January saw the first meeting of like minded people determined to
save our Party, the British National Party from its current destructive path, including
some of those apparently expelled from the Party by the leadership on December 22nd.
A long day of talks led to a constructive initial plan of action aimed to restore the BNP
to its founding principles of morality, integrity, democracy and freedom of speech that
is the basis of modern nationalism.
Every single individual expelled in recent weeks is determined to have their own
membership reinstated through formal grievance procedures, acknowledging that this
may involve costly legal action.
In regard to publicity activities it was concluded that while the temporary blog
enoughisenoughnick.blogspot.com has served its purpose in allowing those who have
fundamental issues regarding the internal management of the Party, a voice on the
Internet, the message of the modernisers has been far too defensive and reactive; merely
responding to the smears and lies perpetrated by the Griffin cabal. This blog will give
way to a more pro active web site in due course.
Those expelled will not be forming another Party; the British National Party is a
recognised brand name and is the only vehicle for the political survival of our people
in our homeland.
We recognise the success which Nick Griffin has achieved for the BNP throughout his
tenure of the past seven years, but the extraordinary sequence of events of the past few
months can only lead a rational observer to conclude that Mr. Griffin is now unfit for
that position.
The internal management of the Party has been revealed to be fundamentally flawed
and repeated calls for change have been ignored by the leader. Thus the only possible
course of action to save the Party and secure a future for our people is to launch a
leadership challenge.
Those expelled are determined to get their membership status restored. Thereafter once
back as members in good standing there will be a challenge to the Party Leadership. In
the event of those expelled being denied their membership or delaying tactics in
disciplinary proceedings an existing current member will be taking up the baton to
launch a leadership challenge in 2008 with a view to implementing the changes.
Plans
Voice of Change is the name of the newly launched independent pressure group to help
bring about the leadership challenge and to provide support and resources for patriots
who wish to stand as candidates in local elections throughout 2008.
A new web site will be launched in mid-January as the main publicity operation of the
new group.
Your voice matters!
This year we have a choice to move forward or fall backwards; to select
democracy over dictatorship, honesty over lies, financial probity over
secrecy, professionalism and efficiency over mismanagement and
incompetence, freedom of speech over censorship and lawfulness over
criminality. It’s time for a change of leadership!
The Big 2008 Debate

Why there MUST be change...
to make the BNP electable
Fundamental lack of democracy
The Voting Membership scheme has only been partially introduced (Treasury
failed to implement the financial aspect) and is flawed because members can only
propose and vote upon policy motions, not internal structural issues.
Dictatorship
The party is run as a dictatorship. The Party Constitution gives power solely to the
Chairman, which runs against the democratic principles we want for the country.
There has been intense suppression of free speech on the members’ own BNP
forum and eight moderators so far have been sacked.
Hypocritical stance
Nick Griffin claims to promote Christian values but actively promotes close
personal associates who have been publicly shamed as immoral and sexual
deviants. We have been apparently ‘purged as neo-Nazis’ but Nick is the one with
criminal convictions and an anti-Semitic history.
Mark Collett

objecting to this man’s repeated
disruptive and damaging behaviour.”
Steve, Sadie and Kenny
In our official statement, we asked you to consider withholding your donations to central office,
hold back from promoting the BNP name or standing as candidates for the BNP, because all these
things will only help to keep the corrupt and untrustworthy Nick Griffin in power.
It is not a request we make lightly, for we like you, have worked hard to build the Party up to
where it is now, but we believe this short term pain will lead to long term gain. Until we have
change at the top that will herald in a new era of electability for the Party, we must all continue
to actively promote nationalism in our own communities with a view to winning council seats
and other elected positions without using the BNP name.
Many of our most effective councillors like Sadie Graham and Chris Beverley were elected on
the back of strong local campaigns, where they were the recognisable local face on the doorstep
rather than just a name on a BNP leaflet. As strong as we have made the BNP name, the biggest
factor in most wards is a pro-active local candidate who engages the community. A hands-on
candidate, fighting their own ward on local issues, backed by an enthusiastic team of activists
can win most wards if the work is put in. So members who want to see leadership change and
get nationalists elected to office, should have no fear about backing an independent campaign.
The experienced ‘Voice of Change’ team will help provide support and resources for such
campaigns, while local campaigners should consider some of the following as excellent ways
to raise your profile and make a positive impact in your local communities (more detailed articles
will be produced in due course on the new website – see next page):
Parish and Community Councils: If there are no elections pending you may be able to get coopted
on if there are vacancies. These councils are the first level of local government and the
experience and local insight to be gained – especially with regard to planning applications –
make them key battle grounds for serious nationalist campaigners. They are also a fantastic way
of discovering what community issues exist that you could help resolve or campaign on.
Unlike in Wales, Scottish community councils are non-political, which means independent
nationalists should have no conflict of interest issues. The same applies to residents’ groups,
housing associations, school boards and many other community based volunteer organisations.
Take a look at the issues listed below. Are any of these campaigns relevant to your local area?
If they are, use them! The organisations listed also give advice and support upon request.
Pensioners: Set up a helping hand scheme or simply distribute leaflets explaining how they can
receive help from their local council to combat fuel poverty? (www.helptheaged.org.uk).
Youths: Set up a youth club or playgroup.
Community Heritage: Preserve the local War Memorial (www.warmemorials.org).
Environment: Organise clean ups (www.encams.org) or protect local wildlife (www.rspb.org.uk).
Animal Welfare and local food production: Campaign against ritual slaughter if local schools
serve Halal meat as standard. Help local farmers and market-traders promote their produce.
Cultural Events: Organise activities and/or events to mark dates of cultural and historical
importance like St George’s Day or you could try something specific to your area.
Local Referenda: How about organising a local referendum about the EU or identity cards?

We ask everyone to renew their BNP membership for 2008 but as far as promoting the
BNP “brand” is concerned it is case of temporarily ceasing activity, a campaign of
minimum maintenance to keep units together, even if just on a social basis.
Local political work, however, that is not overtly party-political, needs to be stepped up
in order for us to continue to sink roots in our local communities and plant the seeds
that will ensure the future victory of our cause.
The foundation of the existing deceitful and corrupt cabal is money and in order to bring
about change it is essential to starve Central HQ of funds. Therefore we call on members
not to make donations to central office above and beyond the membership fee.
Everyone has a fundamental choice regarding their own position but individuals who
stand on, promote and fund the Griffin BNP by default support the bugging of officials,
illegal entry of homes, theft of personal possessions, threats of violence, immorality,
perversion, incompetence in staff, lies and smears, witch hunts against members the
leadership don’t like, mismanagement and wastefulness of funds and personnel,
unconstitutional sackings and expulsions, a tyrannical approach and decades of anti-
Semitic and Neo-Nazi baggage the Party cannot afford to carry if it aims to be a serious
political party.
Voice of Change have arranged a meeting in Nottinghamshire on 27th January for
concerned party members and officials to attend.
Under discussion will be ways in which we can pressure the leadership into listening
to the membership, including
Funding of the BNP
By-elections and 2008 council elections
GLA elections
Local community work
Library of resources available to members
Suggestions for an effective professional party structure
Let’s end the uncertainty, let’s all get behind a winning team, let’s hear the voice of
change!
Support the Family Defence Appeal
Excalibur orders - A short comment from Nicholla for the record!
All orders received on or before the 6th December have been processed as long as payment
cleared and logged in Excalibur’s book-keeping system. Once processed, orders were sent by
e-mail to despatch aka Arthur Kemp, to be posted out. All stock was kept at the Leeds
warehouse. Many customers can confirm that they have been cc’d into e-mails sent to Mr
Kemp regarding complaints and that I included evidence to show the problem was with
despatch. Yet no goods or response were sent by Mr Kemp in most cases.
I now firmly believe that this was a deliberate sabotage attempt on Excalibur to blacken my
name, in order to help facilitate my sacking, during Mr Griffin’s planned attack on Kenny and
Sadie.
I have been advised by my legal team not to access the Excalibur books, but customers should
contact BNP Enquiries (08707 515277) to request the goods you have bought and paid for.
There is no excuse for the goods not being sent out as they have your orders and the stock!
The ‘Family Defence Appeal’ was set up to support the families of the employees sacked without
warning or wages before Christmas and to assist with the legal defence of those fighting not
just their sackings, but their expulsions from the Party.
Formal grievances have been raised against the expulsions by Mr Griffin in his purge of
dissenters and formal grievances have also been raised by those staff sacked by the Party too.
If you believe in freedom of speech, if you believe in the right of officials and members to voice
their dissent when they see the Party they love and have worked hard for, being harmed by a
tyrannical leader who covers up incompetence, then please support the Family Defence Appeal.
Success in these cases, whether at tribunals or through the courts, will provide protection for
the whole membership in the future, which makes this ‘Appeal’ worthy of the support by all.
Please do consider using the standing order mandate on the opposite page to give a regular
sum or send cheques/postal orders made payable to ‘Family Defence Appeal’ to P.O. Box
21684, Falkirk, FK1 9BB to make a one off donation.
A big thank you to all who have already sent in donations. Accurate and meticulous accounts
are being kept and balance sheets will be available for scrutiny at regular intervals to those who
donate to the ‘Family Defence Appeal’.
www.voiceofchange.org.uk
A fully functioning web site www.voiceofchange.org.uk has been launched with its expressed aim
to be the best and the most popular British nationalist political web site on the Internet.
Managed by Steve Blake who as web editor of the old BNP site played a key role in making that
site the number one most visited political site in the UK, it will be the voice of modern nationalism
embracing decency, honesty and promoting family values as key elements of our political
platform. International, national and regional news will be posted daily and the site will contain
an archive of political
essays as well as
seeing the reintroduction
of the highly popular
“Your say” letters to the
editor pages.
Joining Steve will be well
known names such as
Louise Scott, a former
regular contributor to the
web site and VoF, and
seasoned political writer Kenny Smith and many other regional reporters.
There will also be a forum for discussion of all matters relating to the nationalist cause which,
while recognising the need for moderation to ensure the laws of the land are obeyed will
champion genuine freedom of speech. We already have a host of former BNP forum moderators
ready to start having being sacked for voicing their support for free speech.
An online shop is already under development which will sell a variety of merchandise of political
and cultural interest.

The Party Executive
This combines the daily administrative functions with functions which could be bought in, if
the money was available. The Chief Executive is responsible for all day to day management
operations, this position is non-political and is appointed by a voting members’ panel, made
up of three voting members who are selected at each year’s Annual Conference. The coordination
of the panel is in the remit of the Personnel Officer.
Proposed structure for discussion – January 2008
This separates the executive from the political and the “judiciary”.
The political wing
The Party Leader is elected by all qualifying members and heads up the entire political operation
including policy, external communication and election strategy. Those office holders shown
in italics e.g. Elections Co-ordinator sit on the Advisory Council.
Why the Chairman’s Constitution needs changing!
The BNP Constitution as it currently stands is a clumsily worded piece of dictatorial and
illegitimate nonsense.
It was last updated without the consultation of the Advisory Council in September 2005 by Mr
Griffin and Tony Lecomber and it gives the Chairman “full executive power over all the affairs
of the Party” (3.1). This includes the “power to determine, and where necessary change, all
organisational structures within the party and to determine all rules and procedures
whereby such structures are governed” (3.1.c). The Chairman also has the sole and absolute
power over leadership elections, party discipline, party monies, the Advisory Council, national
appointments and all aspects of leadership.
The constitution has been designed to protect the interests and position of the Chairman and
to stifle internal democracy. The rules permitting leadership challenges were changed by the
Chairman to make it harder to have such contests and though the constitution states that a
‘postal ballot shall take place within 3 months of close of nominations’ (4.3), the last
challenger was allowed just 3 weeks by Mr Griffin to run a campaign.
References to the Advisory Council are out of date in terms of its composition and the
mandatory minimum 3 sittings (5.2) was ignored in 2007 (indeed Mr Griffin cancelled one sitting
in August after the Spence Affair at RWB). A majority vote of the AC is supposed to appoint
the Party Auditor, but this vote has never been permitted (5.3).
Coverage of disciplinary procedures are deliberately vague and there is no set time limit for
when disciplinary hearings should be heard. Section 6.3 states that members can be disciplined
for any act against the ‘interests of the party’. These interests are determined by Mr Griffin (6.4).
This effectively means that no one can hope to get a fair disciplinary or appeal hearing.
There is no mention of the Annual Conference, the voting membership or what roles they play
within the Party. If a member wants to submit a resolution for a change to the constitution then
they must first obtain the consent from the Chairman (14.1). The Chairman can make changes
simply by publishing them in the Members’ Bulletin.
Convenient hypocrisy
The Code of Conduct has been used to expel party members and officials who have spoken
out internally against the Chairman and members of his cabal. Yet the same code of conduct
has been ignored when immoral and serious breaches have been made by Mark Collett and
David Hannam who are supposed to “At all times to conduct themselves in a manner that will
bring credit upon the Party and to refrain from any acts, whether from a political or private
motive…which are likely to bring the party into disrepute” (Annex 1.4).
The Constitution states that “Every party member has the right to express criticism or dissent
on matters internal to the party” (Annex 1.7) and yet this too was ignored as Mr Griffin sacked
and expelled nine employees and volunteers who used such internal mechanisms to seek a
resolution regarding serious management and leadership failings.
The Constitution needs to be amended to allow for more democracy from top to bottom and
removes forever the opportunity for the political leader to run the Party as a tyrannical
dictatorship. The political (legislative) should to be separated from the managerial (executive)
and enshrined within a new constitution after proper internal debate and review.
The Party “Judiciary”
Internal disciplinary matters dealt with by a disciplinary committee, three individuals; one
appointed by the Party leader, one by the Chief Executive and one appointed by the member’s
respective Regional Organiser. Those appointed are expected to be either national office
holders or long term activists in good standing.

Treasury problems
There is a severe lack of professionalism which Griffin has been aware of for
some time but failed to address, including personnel whose unsuitability to their
position and incompetence has lead to problems for other staff and volunteers
nationwide.
Lack of honour
Nick Griffin was present at an East Midlands meeting on 15/12/07 where a
unanimous vote was taken and accepted without conditions by Mr Griffin; that Cllr
Sadie Graham be allowed to retain her membership. He later went back on his
word declaring her expulsion on the Party website on 22/12/07.
Bugging
Nick Griffin admitted at both the North West and East Midlands meetings held in
December to bugging Cllr Graham’s home and stated that he would do it again.
Both meetings were filmed.
Fines
The BNP was fined £1,000 in December 2007 for late submission of the regional
accounts and then Treasury had the audacity to claim that this was a “success”
because the fine was only for £1,000.
Theft and deception
BNP Security personnel were told to remove all items of office equipment from
Cllr Graham’s home. The Security personnel themselves admitted they were
acting ‘under the Chairman’s orders’. BNP Security never had Sadie’s permission
to enter her home that day while she was elsewhere.
Unconstitutional expulsions
Leeds member Mick Simpson was expelled for asking questions at the Yorkshire
meeting and Danny Lake was sacked by an expletive filled text message from
John Walker for supporting those wrongfully expelled. Kenny Smith’s sacking
letter was different from what appeared on the website and none of the other six
had received letters; they learned of their expulsions in Nick Griffin’s article on the
website.
Poor leadership & ad-hoc decision making
Griffin has lashed out, with poor judgement, stating publicly that the 60 plus
officials named on the EiE blog supporting the eight people he lists as already
expelled in this purge, would be expelled if they didn’t pledge allegiance to him
before the 24th of December. It iscompletely unconstitutional to expel members
simply because they hold a different point of view from the Chairman.
The Leadership Challenge
When the first group of five key officials was purged from the BNP on December 9th it was
initially and genuinely considered that round-the-table negotiations were possible with the
sacked officials allowed to retain their membership status and Nick Griffin remaining as political
Party leader.
The events of the subsequent six weeks have demonstrated that the leadership has never had
any interest in negotiations and that Nick Griffin is no longer fit to run the Party and the only
means of bringing about change in the Party is to replace the current Chairman through a formal
leadership challenge.
In accordance with the, admittedly flawed, Constitution a leadership election is permitted each
year with a qualifying candidate presenting the challenge and all card carrying members able
to express their views on a one-man, one vote basis.
At least two of those purged in December have indicated that if successful in having their
membership status returned, either by an internal disciplinary hearing or more likely having to
resort to Court action, they intend to launch a leadership challenge in 2008.
In the event of these individuals not being able to meet the deadline because of delays in internal
disciplinary and/or external Court hearings, several suitable qualifying candidates have
expressed their intention and wish to stand as a challenger. However given the current
Chairman’s appetite for purging the Party of any potential opposition to his grip it is deemed
unwise to publish the names of these individuals just yet.
In summary there will be a challenge to Nick Griffin’s position in the summer of 2008.
Nick Griffin and his corrupt cabal have made many false claims since the 9th of December
on the BNP website, in Party publications, at meetings and to individuals as well as to the
media - unbelievably the new deputy leader and national press officer Simon Darby told BBC
Newsnight that we had all being purged for being Nazis.
Another ridiculous claim has been that we were planning some sort of ‘palace coup’. This
leadership challenge has been brought about because of Mr Griffin’s actions since the 9th
of December and not before; a fact easily verified by the fact that our first mail shot – sent
out on the 20th of December - still endorsed Mr Griffin as the political leader of the BNP.
There is a growing momentum for change
The leadership challenge is being publicly endorsed by these former AC members; Steve Blake,
Cllr Sadie Graham, Kenny Smith, Ian Dawson, Cllr Chris Beverley, Roger Robertson, Dr Phil
Edwards, Nicholla Smith and Scott McLean.
Many other highly respected key officials at both national and regional level have either
publicly or privately given their backing to this challenge against the fascistic dictatorship of
Nick Griffin.
Many more councillors, officials, activists and members have publicly backed the call for
leadership change and there has also been great support from people who have left the fold
in recent years and who would be keen to return if Mr Griffin was not at the helm.
In addition, the (as yet) non-public support has been so overwhelming, that it has given us the
confidence to believe that we can win this challenge and implement the changes that the
membership recognises are needed to push the BNP onto the next level of electability.
I will be watching this with interest
