Daily Kos: The United States Needs to Be Invaded and Occupied

Mon, Mar 17, 2008 at 8:21:38 am PST

How much do the lunatics at Daily Kos hate their own country? So much that a diary posted yesterday actually argues that The United States needs to be invaded - not just invaded - occupied.

Because, according to the Daily Kos diarist, being invaded, slaughtered, and occupied is the only way we’ll become a nation of compassionate pacifists.

As a nation the United States no longer has the remotest idea about what it really feels like to be part of a war zone. Americans have lost the empathy that is necessary to make an informed, meaningful, compassionate decision about whether or not war should be waged. While candidates fight over who has the required experience to properly oversee our republic’s international interests, none realize that none of them have ever felt what it is like to have war waged in their neighborhood and occupied by intruders. While they may claim to know when to wage wars and to know the horrors of war, they only know them intellectually. They can’t claim that they have emotionally felt them. No one who was born and raised in the United States can claim that and none can really feel it. We have allowed a Congress and an administration to encourage hate and to hi-jack our compassion. In fact, as a nation we have lost our compassion.

Unfortunately, America is at a point that to be able to really feel again, to regain that compassion, it needs to be invaded and occupied in the same way that we have invaded and occupied Iraq. Then there might be a greater chance that Americans will be more reluctant to accept the invasion of another country. Maybe seeing and feeling the same level of destruction that we have inflicted on Iraq, at least the American public will understand why invading another country is unconscionable except in the most dire circumstances - which means after that country has directly attacked the United States. And that has not happened since World War II.

Is this guy an idiot or what? Oh, I forgot just whom we are talking about here.

So, we have to be attacked and invaded for 5 years in order to understand, hmm? According to this guy's statement, this hasn't happened to us since WWII, right? Now correct me if I am wrong here, but, when were we invaded during WWII? We were attacked, yes, at Pearl Harbor. but an invasion and occupation? NO!

We were invaded Dec. 7th, 1941, AND attacked. Now if this wingnut believe's that compares to the Iraq war, then why isn't 9/11 the same thing? (If he brings up the conspiracy thing, the convo is over and I shall write him off as a complete tard with no semblance of rationality).

On 9/11, we WERE attacked, AND invaded! But that is where the similarities stop.

On December 7th, The Japanese navy, (a military force) sent their planes to bomb Pearl Harbor, (another military force). This was a strategic strike meant to disable America's naval might in the Pacific so Japan could wage their bloody war unhindered

On 9/11, there were no military combatants, not on our part at least. 3000+ innocent America lives were snuffed out on that day. THEY WERE CIVILIANS! The Jihadist's didn't attack a military base, they attacked a city with no means to defend itself. And they did it in a most insidious way, by using American CIVILIAN airliners full of CIVILIANS as flying bombs!

Now this fool says that we will not understand what the Iraqi's are going through til we are invaded and occupied ourselves. I always wonder why they never say this about Afghanistan, the same thing was done there.
(Here come's more conspiracies...lol).

I wonder, if the U.S. WAS ever invaded and "occupied", would this moron be the first one standing there with the door wide open saying, "come on in?" I got news for him, he would be the first "useful idiot" to feel what Nick Berg felt.

I suspect that he will be one of the first to join the other side and lead the charge against America...from within.

Note to the F.B.I.: Forget Adam Ghadan and OBL, watch these nutbags at the Daily KOS and this anti-American. They are the greater danger!

Alien

Note: This will be cross posted at the Daily KOS as soon as my 24 waiting period is up, (maybe they think I am gonna shoot someone...lol).
