Islamists 'Revere' Jesus

All over the world, Muslims are killing, maiming, raping, crucifying and persecuting Christians because of their faith.
So what does the leader of the Council on American-Islamic Relations have to say about all this?
Ibrahim Hooper, national communications director of CAIR, writing in the American Muslim, condescendingly tells Christians his religion has nothing but respect for Jesus and his followers.
"It is well known, particularly in this holiday season, that Christians follow the teachings of Jesus," he writes. "What is less well understood is that Muslims also love and revere Jesus as one of God's greatest messengers to mankind."
Hmmmmm. If only that were so.
Perhaps, instead of telling a mostly Christian audience in the United States about how loving and tolerant his religion is, Hooper and CAIR should be preaching to Muslims around the world who are attacking Jesus's followers.
Here are just a few of the recent atrocities:
Ali Mustaf Maka'il, 22, a college student in Somalia, who converted from Islam to Christianity last year, was shot and killed in Mogadishu this past September. It wasn't a random shooting by an aberrantly crazed Muslim. The gunman was loyal to the Union of Islamic Courts, the Islamist organization that took power in the country last June and which now controls much of southern Somalia. The incident was just one of a series of attacks in the country by Muslims on their Christian brothers and sisters.
In Indonesia, Noviana Malewa and three of her friends were walking to school last year when they were assaulted by jihadists wielding machetes. Three of the girls were decapitated and Malewa suffered a massive slash that ran from her cheek to her neck. The incident was one of a series of attacks in the country by Muslims on their Christian brothers and sisters.
In Nigeria, Muslim riots destroyed 18 Christian churches and dozens of Christian shops in the city of Dutse after a Christian girl rejected a Muslim boy's advances. She was accused of "blasphemy." Some 5,000 Christians were displaced by the riots. The incident was just one of a series of attacks in the country by Muslims on their Christian brothers and sisters.
In Bangladesh, a Christian man whose evangelism enraged Muslims was severely injured after a bus driver rammed his suburban utility vehicle, driving shards of glass into his arms. He was on his way to visit a group of 17 families whose members have converted from Islam to Christianity. The incident was one of a series of attacks in the country by Muslims on their Christian brothers and sisters.
In Sudan, a slave assigned to watch his Muslim master's camels was crucified when he was caught sneaking out to attend a Christian church. The incident was just one of a series of attacks in the country by Muslims on their Christian brothers and sisters.
In Australia, a devout Muslim woman was attacked and stabbed to death, allegedly by her husband, after their 17-year-old daughter announced she was embracing Christianity. The daughter was also severely wounded in the knife attacks. It is not unusual for Muslims to blame mothers for the conversions of their children. The incident was just one of a series of attacks in the country -- including a string of gang rapes -- by Muslims on their Christian brothers and sisters.
I could go on and on with such examples of terror perpetrated by Muslims on Christians -- not just in predominantly Islamic lands, but all over the globe. Wouldn't it be more productive and show more sincerity if Hooper and his group made their case to their Muslim brothers and sisters?
