Paranoia

I have been watching all the discussions, both pro and con, on President Bush's authorizing the NSA to use wiretaps. Now I'm not a lawyer nor a politician, but I am an American that uses common sense, and personally, over the last 20 years or so, I don't see alot of it being used by most of the mainstream media, the A.C.L.U. (when have they ever used it), neolibs or any of their ilk.

It seems to me that alot of the screaming is being done by people that have no worries anyway. Do you honestly think the the NSA is concerned with your personal phone calls to your wife, girlfriend, boyfriend, lover, butcher, baker, candlestick maker? You consider yourself too important if you do.

OK, listen real close now, your marijuana induced paranoia days are over, (I hope). Big Brother is not watching you, that is, unless you are involved with terrorism. Are you? If not, sit down and shut up! If you are, your days are numbered.

We are at war! America was attacked on Sept. 11th 2001 by an enemy we never thought existed nor did we know they had anything against us, at least not enough to do what they did and murder almost 3000 innocent citizens who were doing nothing more than going to work. Now we know that this enemy is here amongst us. They have been for quite a while now and want to destroy America.

Now I know that there are those out there that will say that I am being paranoid now. Am I? Lets take a look at that. Your worried about something that hasn't happened to you. I am worried about something that has, and could happen again. BIG difference!

The NSA is looking for people that are involved in activities that are aiding the enemy. People that would do more harm to this country. People that want you and I dead! These are people that hate America. We have been threatened with chemical, biological and nuclear attack, not to mention that we are not invunerable to a 'homicide' attack similar to what we have seen in Israel, Bali, Indonesia, London, Madrid, and many other places around the world. Do you want to open you daily paper or turn on the t.v. and find out that some of your family, friends, or fellow countrymen are dead because some terrorist in a shopping mall, theater, school, or maybe at a football game your son or daughter is attending blew himself and 25, 50, or 500 others into human confetti? (By the way, that almost happened, God only knows why it failed).

President Bush is doing everything he can to make sure that this does not happen. And because you hate republicans, or have some oddball agenda to promote, you seem to think that what Bush is doing is wrong. I disagree, and according to all polls that I have seen, 65% of Americans agree with me. You want Bush in jail, I want him to protect America with every resource within his grasp.

So without reservation, I say those of you that are being hyper-critical of the President should be ashamed. You seem not to care at all about the people of this country and their safety. You seem to care more about the right's of those that could and would do harm to our way of life. Maybe you want to live that way, maybe sharia law appeals to you. Go live in Iran or Saudia Arabia for five years and let's see if you have a attitude adjustment.

Until then, shut up and sit down!
