Foundation supporting Horowitz's Islamo-Fascist Awareness work include: the Allegheny Foundation, The Carthage Foundation and Sarah Scaife Foundations- all three are part of Richard Scaife's empire. Also, The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, and The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. If your foundation is supporting Horowitz's Islamo-Fascist work please let us know - If you would like to, contact David Horowitz Freedom Center http://www.horowitzfreedomcenter.org/FlexPage.aspx?area=supportus
2>Think numbers: There are 100,000,000. that is 100 Million Christian Zionists vigorous in support of Israel; vigorous of voice, with proven willingness to support causes in which they believe; willing with money and brave to raise their voices in support of a Jewish State for Israel and 13 million Jews - a lot divided in its goals for Israel, at best. We must believe that these believers are not pleased with any division of Jerusalem or with Judea and Samaria being excised from Israel and 'given' to a palestinean entity - which is eradicating all Judeo-Christian sites to forever terminate biblical history.
3>"For behold, in those days and at that time, when I will bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all of the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat and I will contend with them there concerning My people and My possession, Israel, that they dispersed among the nations, and they divided up my land." From October 22 - 26, student groups across the nation will hold Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week on their campuses. These protest weeks will feature a series of events designed to bring a message to these academic communities that challenges most of what students are taught about the so-called War on Terror both in the classroom and on the quad.
The Week's events will include speeches about Islamo-Fascism by prominent figures, including former Senator Rick Santorum (Penn State, Temple and UPenn), Sean Hannity (Columbia), Ann Coulter (Tulane and USC), Dennis Prager (UC Santa Barbara), Robert Spencer (Brown, Dartmouth, University of Rhode Island, and DePaul), Daniel Pipes (Northeastern and UPenn), David Horowitz (Columbia, Emory, Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin), Michael Ledeen (Maryland), Nonie Darwish (UCLA and Berkeley), Wafa Sultan (Stanford) and radio talk show hosts Melanie Morgan (San Francisco State), Michael Medved (University of Washington), Martha Zoeller (Georgia Tech), Alan Nathan (George Mason), Mark Larson (to be named) and many others.
A major theme of the Week will be the oppression of women in Islam. The photo accompanying this article, which shows a teenage girl buried before being stoned to death for alleged sexual offenses, will serve as the poster for the protest Week. The stoning took place in Iran.
The plight of Muslim women will be featured at "teach-in" panels and also at sit-ins in Women's Studies Departments, designed to protest the absence of courses that focus on Islamic gynophobia. The silence of Women's Studies departments in the face of this oppression is a national outrage. College students are offered the opportunity to study the "oppression" of women in Boston and Beverly Hills in hundreds of Women's Studies courses across America. But there is not a single course we are aware of that addresses the real oppression of women in Teheran and Riyadh. In Saudi Arabia, to take one horrendous example, Saudi police recently shot to death schoolgirls who were fleeing a burning building without their veils. Better that they should be dead than seen. A pamphlet on the subject of women's oppression in Islam, written by Robert Spencer and Phyllis Chesler will be distributed on campuses (and posted on Frontpage next week), along with a petition protesting the campus blackout of this issue.
Many campuses will show the uncut version of the ABC miniseries The Path to 9/11, which has been suppressed by ABC under pressure from the Clintons in order to help Hilary's presidential run. This is the most spectacular episode of political censorship in recent memory. It is also relatively unreported, although the Los Angeles Times carried an informative story which you can read here. The Path to 9/11 was a film that cost $40 million to make and was seen by 28 million viewers, yet ABC has refused to release the DVD. Other films being shown during the Week are Obsession, Suicide Killers, Islam: What the West Needs to Know, Islam v. Islam and Chris Burgard's Border.
The purpose of Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is as simple as it is critical: to confront the two Big Lies of the political left: that George Bush created the "war on terror" and that global warming is a greater danger to Americans than global jihad and Islamic supremacism.
Nothing could be more politically incorrect than to point out these unpleasant facts. But nothing could be more important for American students to hear. In the face of the greatest danger Americans have ever confronted, the academic left has mobilized to create sympathy for the enemy and to fight anyone who rallies Americans to defend themselves.
Already, CAIR and the Muslim Students Association -- which are fronts for the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas -- are planning to hold counter- demonstrations during the Week called "Peace Not Prejudice." Since the Islamic radicals whom these organizations represent and defend are among the most prejudiced people on earth, and since their own sponsoring organizations, Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, have declared a global war against the West, this can only be regarded as high-order satire. The Muslim Students Association is welcome to sign our petition denouncing Islamo-Fascism and defending the dignity of all individuals, infidels included. It can be accessed here.
Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is a protest against the censorship that has come to America, and whose chief enforcer is the progressive left. Anyone who links Islamic radicalism to the terrorist campaigns that are being waged against America, Europe and Israel and against non-radical Muslims in places such as Darfur, is automatically labeled an "Islamophobe." It is by this means that the enemy seeks to paralyze the defenses of its intended victims. The progressive left is the enabler and abettor of the terrorist jihad. It has forged an "unholy alliance" with the most retrograde and reactionary forces in the world today. The institutional base of the left is the university system, from whose classrooms it is conducting a behind-the-lines psychological warfare campaign against its own countrymen and the democratic, secular and tolerant society they have created. It is time for Americans to rally in their own defense and answer the corrosive lies and libels whose goal is to sap their will to fight. Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is the beginning of that answer and the first line of that defense.

2>Palestinians Crucify the Holy Land
Robert Spencer
Front PageMagazine.com | Thursday, October 11, 2007
Last Saturday, Palestinian Christian Rami Ayyad was abducted and murdered. His body was found the next day. Six months ago, a bomb destroyed Ayyad's Christian bookstore, the Holy Bible Society in Gaza City.
No group claimed responsibility for the murder of Ayyad, but the bombing of his bookstore was consistent with the pattern of bombings carried out by a jihadist group calling itself "The Righteous Swords of Islam."
Ayyad's death comes at a time when the position of Christians in the Palestinian Authority is more precarious than ever. Dr. Justus Weiner of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs said in July that "for a number of years now, this minority community [of Christians] has been in dire need of assistance. Palestinian Christians are unable to practice their religion in freedom and in peace. Most in danger are Arab Christians. And most in danger among Arab Christians are those who have converted from Islam. They are often left defenseless against cruelty from Muslim fundamentalists."
This cruelty is often hallowed by the sanction of Islamic law. Sheikh Abu Saqer of the jihadist group Jihadia Salafiya announced last June: "I expect our Christian neighbors to understand the new Hamas rule means real changes. They must be ready for Islamic rule if they want to live in peace in Gaza." This would mean that, in accord with ancient provisions of Islamic Sharia law, Christians could practice their religion, but only if they did so inconspicuously: "Jihadia Salafiya and other Islamic movements will ensure Christian schools and institutions show publicly what they are teaching to be sure they are not carrying out missionary activity. No more alcohol on the streets. All women, including non-Muslims, need to understand they must be covered at all times while in public." Hamas even intends to reinstitute the jizya, the special tax mandated by the Qur'an (9:29) for Jews and Christians, but from which Muslims are exempt from paying.
Christians are accordingly streaming out of Palestinian Authority-controlled areas - including some of the holiest sites in Christendom. Christians comprised 85 percent of the population of Bethlehem in 1948; by 2006 their numbers had dwindled to twelve percent, and a large mosque has been built on one side of Manger Square, right across from the Catholic and Orthodox churches. Muslim thugs beat a Christian cab driver in Bethlehem, George Rabie, just for displaying a crucifix in his cab. Rabie noted: "Every day, I experience discrimination..Many extremists from the villages are coming into Bethlehem." Sometimes this discrimination turns lethal: several years ago, Muslims shot dead two Christian women for not wearing the Islamic veil. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades took responsibility and explained: "We wanted to clean the Palestinian house of prostitutes." Samir Qumsiyeh, owner of a private Christian television station, observed last January: "The situation is very dangerous. I believe that 15 years from now there will be no Christians left in Bethlehem. Then you will need a torch to find a Christian here. This is a very sad situation." A Bethlehem hotelier, Joseph Canawati, said simply: "There is no hope for the future of the Christian community. We don't think things are going to get better. For us, it is finished."
Yet while all this has gone on the world has turned a blind eye. The UN has issued no resolutions calling upon the Palestinians to stop mistreating their Christian minority. Human rights organizations have likewise been silent. And in the West, where Islamic advocacy groups and student groups profess to reject and abhor "extremism," the oppression of Palestinian Christians has likewise not registered on the radar screen. The Council on American Islamic Relations has said nothing about it. Neither has the Muslim Public Affairs Council. And on campuses around the country, Leftist and Muslim groups are denouncing organizers of Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week events, instead of joining with them to stand against the oppression of Christians (as well as women, gays, and others) in all too many Muslim countries today.
Why is that? If these groups really oppose jihadist activity and Sharia oppression, why won't they stand against them? These groups have been directing their efforts toward discrediting Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week by casting aspersions upon David Horowitz and others. Some have stooped even to fabricating posters in order to portray the organizers of the Week as bigoted and hateful. The losers in all this are the Palestinian Christians and other victims of jihadist oppression. The only ones who are speaking up for them are being vilified and smeared by those who claim to be the sentinels of tolerance and justice.
Yet if Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week is ultimately shouted down on campuses all over the country, among the winners will be those who are making life so miserable for Christians in the Palestinian Authority and all over the Islamic world. And no one will be left to speak for them at all.
3>RUTH MATTAR - WOMEN IN GREEN ran an advert in the Jerusalem Post on April 19, 2002 approximately 2 months before Bush's fateful speech on June 24 of that year, entitled: "ISRAEL IS OCCUPIED TERRITORY OCCUPIED BY THE ARABS!"
We've updated it with portions of Herb Keinon's excellent article in the Jerusalem Post this week.
Dear Friends of Israel,
Why is President George W. Bush so hell-bent on the upcoming regional "Peace Conference" in Annapolis, Maryland, dealing with the Palestinian-Israeli issue? ("Hell-bent" seems an excellent choice of words!)
Of course, he is anxious to bring all his Arab friends together under one happy roof, with the objective of dealing with the thorny problem of the existence of the State of Israel. Subsequently, other like-minded world leaders are to be invited as well.
The United States planned a massive aid package for the region. Even Saudi Arabia was included, even though the Saudis aren't exactly doing the United States's bidding in Iraq. The U.S. feels that it badly needs friends in the region to cement a new alliance of U.S. regional buddies.
The following is an excerpt from Herb Keinon's article: "Diplomacy: Dangerous Liaisons?" published in the Jerusalem Post on August 10, 2007. [Full article follows]
"On July 16, when Bush gave birth to the idea of a regional conference, he kept everything intentionally vague. "The world can do more to build the conditions for peace," he said. "So I will call together an international meeting this fall of representatives from nations that support a TWO-STATE SOLUTION, reject violence, recognize Israel's right to exist and commit to all previous agreements between the parties. The key participants in this meeting will be the Israelis, the Palestinians, and their neighbors in the region. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will chair the meeting. She and her counterparts will review the progress that has been made toward building Palestinian institutions. They will look for innovative and effective ways to support further reform. And they will provide diplomatic support for the parties in their bilateral discussions and negotiations, so that we can move forward on a successful path to a Palestinian state." .
The problem with the conference, said Eric Cantor, a Republican from Virginia, who led a group of 19 congressmen during talks with top-tier Israeli and Palestinian leaders this week, is with all the noise it is already generating. "I'm very concerned about the expectations surrounding such a conference," he said in an interview. "I believe that it is wise for us to stick to the sequential nature of the original Road Map, and the vision of our president in insisting that any Palestinian state wait for the Palestinians to denounce terrorist violence, to recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state and to recognize all former agreements entered into by the PA. For me, calling for a regional conference at this point, without demonstrable evidence that those prerequisites are taking place, may cause an elevation of expectations that could be damaging."
The idea that Israel could be dealt with to the satisfaction of the Arab states in the Middle East has grown ever since President Bush's speech on June 24, 2002. At that time he spoke about his idea of two states; a Jewish one, and an Arab state carved out of Jewish land. He further said:
"It is untenable for Palestinians to live in squalor and OCCUPATION."
"In the situation the Palestinian people will grow more and more miserable. MY VISION IS TWO STATES, LIVING SIDE BY SIDE IN PEACE AND SECURITY." (The entire speech by President Bush is attached at the end of this Letter.)
Dear Friends, let's stop right here! President Bush's "vision" is based on a faulty premise: Bush labors under the assumption that ISRAEL is occupying ARAB territory. He, as many others, is deceived by the Arab "big-lie" technique!
Women in Green had sponsored an ad in the Jerusalem Post on April 19, 2002 approximately 2 months before Bush's fateful speech on June 24 of that year, entitled: "ISRAEL IS OCCUPIED TERRITORY OCCUPIED BY THE ARABS!"
The Arab claim that the country was theirs and was taken away from them by the Jews is completely false and lacks any historic basis.
This history as published in the ad:
"Israel became a nation in 1312 B.C.E., i.e. 2,000 years BEFORE the rise of Islam, and long before there was any Arab nation. Israel (Palestine) has been the homeland of the Jewish People since biblical times. It was subsequently "occupied" more than 15 times. Among its occupiers were the Egyptians, the Babylonians, the Persians, the Greeks, the Romans, and the Ottoman Turks. The longest occupiers of the Holy Land who ruled on and off for 400 yearsbetween 1517-1917were the Ottoman Turks. They were followed by the British who ruled under a Mandate of the League of Nations (later the U.N.) to renew a homeland for the Jewish People.
Jews had dominion over the land of Israel over 1,300 years before their expulsion by the conquering Roman Empire. Moreover, Jews have had a continuous presence in this land for over 3,300 years."
How sad that nobody was able to rectify Bush's misconception on who is occupying whom, on that fateful day of his June 24, 2002 speech. Now, five years later, is it too late to change Bush's mind on this crucial issue?
Those who strive to be "politically correct" about the Jewish-Arab conflict want to deny Jews to build communities on their own land. This is in spite of the fact that the commandment of settling Eretz Yisrael is equivalent in its importance to all the commandments of the Torah.
In the name of the Lord who commands us (Deuteronomy 1:8): "Go, take possession of the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give to them and to their offspring after them."
However, President Bush insists on being completely "biblically not correct" on this matter. He demands that Israel evacuates all its settlements built since 2001, and that they not build any new communities whatsoever. In effect, he dares to challenge the very authority of the Master of the Universe!
On this topic of settlement, you will be interested to read an essay by Joseph Farah, an Arab American who is the head of WorldNetDaily, entitled: "THE 'SETTLEMENTS' ISSUE". You will find his full article at the end of this Letter.
For those of us who love the Holy Land, it is important not to fall into the trap of striving to be "politically correct". On the contrary, as bible believers, it behooves us to be NOT "politically correct", but sincerely "biblically correct". This means that we firmly believe the word of G-d that the Holy Land is an everlasting inheritance of the Jewish People.
Unfortunately, Ehud Olmert, our current Prime Minister, as well as Ariel Sharon, the previous Prime Minister of Israel, is not at all concerned with being "biblically correct". Those two, together, expelled ten thousand Jews from their homes in Gaza and Northern Shomron. They thereafter permitted the Arabs to take over this Jewish Land.
Ehud Olmert and his Foreign Minister, Tzippi Livni, are eager to give up Judea and Samaria, and even part of Jerusalem, to the Arabs, for promises of "peace".
It has been said by many analysts that Ariel Sharon, who was considered to be the "father of Jewish settlement", made a 180 degree political turnaround in order to avert attention from his legal difficulties, i.e. the "Greek Island Affair". Similarly, Ehud Olmert is currently being questioned by the Israeli Police under caution, regarding his questionable real estate dealings.
These facts are more than worrisome, since Olmert deems himself to be entitled to treat Israel as his private real estate.
With this background, the thought of the November International Peace Conference in Annapolis, Maryland, is most frightening.
We don't even know, as yet, how many nations have been invited, but certainly there will be a preponderance of Arab nations. Israel has been invited as well, and Olmert has foolishly accepted the invitation to be the sacrificial lamb.
This whole development brings to mind the prophecy of Joel:
"For behold, in those days and at that time, when I will bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all of the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat and I will contend with them there concerning My people and My possession, Israel, that they dispersed among the nations, and they divided up my land."
(Joel 4:1-3 the Stone Edition of the Tanach)
This prophecy bears an uncanny resemblance to what is being planned by the nations of the world against the Jewish People at this point in time.

MPAC Releases Six Tips for Tackling 'Islamo-Fascism' Events at Universities
http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/018382.php
I have been working on planning efforts for Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, which will hit campuses all over the country October 22-26. This effort to counter the stranglehold that Leftism, anti-Americanism, and pro-jihadist sympathies have on American campuses has the university establishment and American Muslim groups in a tizzy.
The Muslim Public Affairs Council, home of the truth-challenged Edina Lekovic, has issued a handbook, "MPAC Releases Six Tips for Tackling 'Islamo-Fascism' Events at Universities." The introductory text reads in part:
Under the banner of "Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week" (IFAW), Horowitz's Freedom Center is organizing speaking engagements at colleges and universities for the likes of Ann Coulter, Daniel Pipes, Dennis Prager, Sean Hannity, Robert Spencer, Rick Santorium and Wafa Sultan. Organizers are billing the event as the "biggest conservative campus protest ever." To date, IFAW events have been canceled at a handful of universities, where administrators and student groups called the event divisive and hateful.
What's decisive and hateful? Apparently, exposing the deeply ingrained oppression that women, Christians, homosexuals and others suffer under Islamic law and in majority-Muslim countries today. But about that oppression, MPAC and its friendly "administrators and student groups" are silent.
This malicious propaganda has its effect. "Telling the truth about the global jihad and Islamic supremacism" has become so closely identified with "hatred and bigotry" that people are actually surprised when I turn out not to be the fanged, horned rabid dog of CAIR and MPAC caricature. After I spoke at the University of Idaho a few months ago one fellow blogged:
Tonight I went to hear a lecture by Robert Spencer, a Catholic theologian and critical student of Islam who has been threatened by name by al-Queda. At first I thought Spencer was going to be something of a bomb-thrower, judging by the titles of some of his books such as The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) and The Truth About Muhammad: Founder of the World's Most Intolerant Religion, as well as his visit being sponsored by several conservative campus organizations which have a reputation for being provocative. To my surprise I found Spencer to be extremely knowledgeable, well-spoken, and reasonable. He was however quite firm, which I fear some of the middle eastern and liberal members of the audience (these two groups are of course not mutually exclusive) may have found to be off-putting or contentus. Anyway I learned some things and now kind of wish I'd gone to the dinner with him before hand.
Shocker! Spencer extremely knowledgeable, well-spoken, and reasonable! Of course it is the Left's game to portray people who would be sponsored by certain organizations, or who would dare to say certain things, as being unreasonable and worse -- and then people like this writer will not bother to listen to what they have to say. Most of the time it works, which is why they keep doing it, and why MPAC, instead of addressing in any way any of the points I make about oppression in Islamic contexts in the three articles listed above, instead issues this handbook as if the poor Muslims are victims of some frothing hate campaign.
And of course, the ugliest reality in this whole business is that the frothing hate campaign is being mounted by those who oppose Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, not by us. It is Ann Coulter, David Horowitz, Wafa Sultan and I, all of whom have received many death threats, who will be going to campuses during the Week accompanied by guards. Noam Chomsky and MPAC's Salam Al-Marayati, meanwhile, can go anywhere they want and never have to worry about guards of any kind. Nor is this limited to the Week: Daniel Pipes speaks at Wayne State University on Monday in an atmosphere of smears on his character and work, and physical intimidation.
Yet MPAC warns Muslim students to "demonstrate Islamic ethics and restraint," "not respond," and "report hate crimes and hate incidents," as if it were they who were under threat. It's utter tosh -- but it is an effective tactic. It promises to be a very interesting week, and I can guarantee right now that if anyone is trafficking in intimidation, whether physical or otherwise, and trying to silence opponents, it will be the Left and their jihadist allies -- not the organizers of Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week. That in itself should reveal to people of good will what is really going on here.

Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week Mugged
|
|
http://www.americandaily.com/article/20629
we are about to enter a new ice age.
CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper indicated in a 1993 interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he wants to see the United States become a Muslim country.
Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week Mugged
By J. Grant Swank Jr. (10/17/07)
Islamic and Arab conclaves are straining to mug Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week - October 22-26 - to be held on numerous American campuses.
They are working through flyer handouts as well as contacting persons in political and academic authority to shut down this freedom of expression attempt to inform the public concerning the truth regarding Islam World Rule agendas.
On the Terrorism Awareness Project website is the following: “During the week of October 22-26, 2007, the nation will be rocked by the biggest conservative campus protest ever – Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, a wake-up call for Americans on 200 university and college campuses.
“The purpose of this protest is as simple as it is crucial: to confront the two Big Lies of the political left: that George Bush created the war on terror and that Global Warming is a greater danger to Americans than the terrorist threat.
“Nothing could be more politically incorrect than to point this out.
“But nothing could be more important for American students to hear. In the face of the greatest danger Americans have ever confronted, the academic left has mobilized to create sympathy for the enemy and to fight anyone who rallies Americans to defend themselves.”
Conservatives realize how aggressive the left is on US university and college campuses. Leftist professors proliferate. Textbooks are rampant in favor of anti-American print. If conservative students speak in favor of their perspective, they are often derided. Conservative academicians usually don’t remain on faculty when found out by liberal administrations.
The Terrorism Awareness Project continues: “According to the academic left, anyone who links Islamic radicalism to the war on terror is an ‘Islamophobe.’
“According to the academic left, the Islamo-fascists hate us not because we are tolerant and free, but because we are ‘oppressors.’
“Islamo-Fascism Awareness is a national effort to oppose these lies and to rally American students to defend their country.”
All power to this academic freedom effort to out the facts. The young on campuses must be informed about terrorists, not only in other nations, but also particularly in the United States. If the next generation is lulled into the false, Islam World Rule will become an actuality in North America.
David Horowitz Freedom Center endorses this Week event and provides detail on the Center’s site:
“After conferring with students from several universities who were concerned about both the ignorance about the objectives of Islamic fascism among their fellow students and also the ‘unholy alliance’ between campus leftists and jihadists seeking to undermine the War on Terror, the Freedom Center has launched a Terrorism Awareness Project.
“This Project will provide conservative students with an intellectual toolkit containing all the elements of the truth about jihad: a speakers’ bureau featuring figures such as Steve Emerson, Daniel Pipes and Robert Spencer; DVDs of films such as ‘Obsession’ that dramatically underline the threat we face; printed material about the Islamists’ objectives and the successes they have had in penetrating Western culture and its institutions.”
America can thank the David Horowitz Freedom Center for its organizational acumen concerning this endeavor. It is one of the most significant efforts taking place this autumn throughout the country. If our nation is to continue to be free from Islam World Rule enthusiasts, such Freedom Center programs must be multiplied.
“The Terrorism Awareness Project will work in cooperation with Students for Academic Freedom, which now has chapters on over 150 college campuses, to help conservative student activists to demand equal time—in the classroom as well as at campus-wide events—whenever the left presents its propaganda about the war and the intentions of those who regard America as ‘the Great Satan.’”

AMADINEJAD AND THE SAUDIS
|
|
I have just posted this on my blog at pajamasmedia.
http://pajamasmedia\xpress\phyllischesler
AMADINEJAD AND THE SAUDIS PLAN TO DISRUPT FREE SPEECH ON AMERICAN CAMPUSES STARTING TOMMORROW
We have just been informed that President Amadinejad, who himself enjoyed no disruption when he spoke at Columbia University, has said he supports American students and faculty who plan to disrupt the handful of panels and lectures at Columbia University and at the more than one hundred other universities where Islamo-Fascist Awareness Week will take place from October 22nd to October 26th, 2007.
By the way, the term "Islamo-fascism" was coined by Algerian Muslims and ex-Muslims to characterize the Islamic fanatics who slaughtered 150,000 of their Algerian Muslim brethren in the 1990s—and all in the name of Allah.
I am speaking at Columbia on a panel with my esteemed colleagues Ibn Warraq and Christina Hoff-Sommers on the evening of October 24th. David Horowitz, whose Freedom Center has organized the week-long Teach-In, is speaking there at noon on October 26th.
There will be security, cameras, and perhaps even media. These add-ons have become increasingly necessary in order that those who hold minority anti-fascist viewpoints may nevertheless engage in the joys of academic freedom.
We have also just been informed that Saudi money, (what an everlasting surprise), has apparently funded the various pro-Palestinian, anti-American, and anti-Israeli campus groups to launch a defamation and disruption campaign against us. And, the religious Jewish left has also weighed in with an emailed campaign that opposes our telling the truth about how Muslims are blowing other Muslims up, and persecuting women, intellectuals, and homosexuals.
Apparently, if you don't blame America first, and Israel soon thereafter; and if you don't continually apologize for the Christian Crusades and for the West's past colonialism and imperialism—you do not deserve to speak or, perhaps, to live. This way of thinking represents an utter failure to understand that jihad against infidels and other barbarisms are intrinsic to the Arab Muslim Middle East and were not necessarily caused by Western actions.
As to Columbia: In 2004, my answer to a single question sparked a near-riot and I had to be hustled out for my safety. In 2005, the graduate students at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA—the group that invited Amadinejad), boycotted a student-organized and rather illustrious panel about Israel of which I was a member. Also in 2005, at an all-day conference with enormous security, my words still "provoked" a planned pro-Palestinian "acting up" (or is it "acting out" or "shaking off?"). There is more. You get the picture.
Today, speaking the truth about fascism means that you have to do so under hostile and perhaps even dangerous working conditions. The truth-tellers are defamed as "fascists" and "racists." Those who silence all free speech other than their own view only themselves as anti-racist liberators.
I will have more to say about this. Stay tuned.
