Hi ,I recently joined whitedot and the other day bought a tv b gone from a web shop.I have tried it on several tvs and nothing happened even after a minute except the blue light flashed for about five seconds.I have returned it to the supplier who said they have tested it and are sending me out a new one in a day or so.
However, looking at how the devise is made--small and flimsy I am having doubts as to whether anything of this nature will work at all.It cost me £16 with postage so I am wondering despite all the stories of tvs being zapped successfully in public places if I have perhaps been taken for a ride!
Can anyone with genuine experience of using this device offer me reassurance that it does do what it says? I would be most appreciative
Thanks |

Yes I take back what I have said and have now zapped many tvs in public bars etc. such as wetherspoons yesterday.it works from quite a way off too although there are one or two it will not work on. I could not get any to switch off in yates bar .It stated there that the tv equipment was fitted with some sort of tracking device?
I think some people could abuse the intended use of this gadget by turning off security monitors and tvs being sold in electrical shops although they do waste an auful lot of electricity just left on all the time especially in these days of enviromental concern. |

| There is a European version and a USA/Asia version. Different televisions use regional infrared codes. |
