We're facing a depression which is going to haunt most of us and has already haunted many of us. It's already affecting me because it hurts me to see so many people who have worked long and hard to acheive and earn a secure place in life, now on the unemployment and GA lines. So for those who wish to not read the ultimate books of Allah subhana wa ta'ala and hold to them so that they can be successful, here is another alternative.

In this thread I intend to present some skills that made me and so many others successful in this world. This skill we all wrap up in a few words...THE ART OF SELLING. Selling doesn't only mean selling a product, but it also means, selling yourself. I ask all others who has been and are successful to contribute. No contribution is too big or too small. No success story, is too big or too small. Success simply means having a goal and reaching it. And this is real charity, no tax right offs. Smile

Every morning you should thank Allah subhana wa ta'ala for giving you life and giving you another day on earth, despite what happened yesterday or the day before...

Hi Nik, Obama is in office for 8 years. There is no way of going around it. So we suck it up on and deal with it whether we like him or not. This thread I did not post for people to air out negative vibes. Please positive contribution. Thanks.

Salah, couldn't you tell I was trying to be optimistic? Positive vibes all over the place when the recovery arrives.

Laying blame is negative. Obama came into office after the recession. We can't blame him. He's just trying to do what he thinks is ok and will help us to recover as quick as possible. He may fail. He may succeed. Only time will tell. Don't forget - someone who hasn't fail is someone who has never tried.

Salah, I'm not blaming Obama for anything other than how he is trying to "fix" this economic mess. There are surprising parallels to what happened on Wall St. in 1929 and now in how the problem is being handled. Obama is doing almost exactly what FDR did, spend spend, spend, a program that took a brief recession and turned it into a decade long depression.

Well, he's in office for 4 years. Sometimes Presidents don't get re-elected, you know.

And remember, when he campaigned he said he expected to be in office for 10 years. That scared me because either

He doesn't know what our Constitution says about term limits

or

He knows and is planning to circumvent them.

Perhaps he is stretching his Senate office term to add 2 years.

Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days? Not much.

From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan.

143 days -- I keep leftovers in my refrigerator longer than that.

http://www.gopusa.com/theloft/?p=707:

And what about the contribution he had to the deficit by virtue of his vote while he was a Senator that he then claimed he simply 'inherited' from Bush?

http://hotair.com/archives/2009/03/25/video-obama-on-blaming-bush-for-deficits/

It would be positively refreshing for Obama to actually be what he puts himself out there to be. "change". Instead it is the same duplicity, the same magic show, the same lies and projections that every other politician uses. Only he does it with his arrogant smile, swagger and charisma which makes the desperate Americans swoon out of their desperate need to just believe the mirage in front of them.

On topic, the best way for anyone to be successful is to not make Gods out of mere people, especially politicians who have the ability to charm the pants off them by using pretty words that spark hope but are not followed through with.

And taking back your own power as citizens, not relying on 'the president' to create change, that has never happened.

America was built from the bottom up, but they have deferred their power by thinking change comes from the top down.

Hardly.

America was built on what though? America hated many. It is not until we began to start loving that we grew. I remembered one of our most successful sportsman named Cassius Clay then, throwing his first gold medal into the river. You remembered why?

What does being a mayor have to do with the US Constitution?

I get so confused.

Dont be confused Tony and Rhoda. Mayor Bloomberg wants to run for more terms than it is written for a mayor to run. He's a very good mayor and I think he will get his wish. Bam Bam is a good president and if he wants to run 10 years. He will get is wish. Don't be confused about this guys. Its time for success. Time for CHANGE. Change the American people can believe in.

CHANGE. Yeah, that's about all I'll have left if Obama gets everything on his wish list.

I understand exactly what he is trying to do and he is well on the way toward success. He is trying for economic equilibrium with the rest of the world, meaning that he wants to make the land of his birth (tho that is still not completely settled) a third world country.

Oh joy!

Flakly knowledge is not apart of the art of success. Obama is American, regardless of what his birth certificate says or in your case...Obama is American regardless of what his birth certificate 'may' say. He is one of the truest Americans we have today in many, more than many aspects.

Forum life is stressing me out. I'm planning to adopt a new hobby. If I get to go back to WI, then I may reconsider this forum stuff.
