This is an SAL in memory of our late member Marc Davies who passed away unexpectedly last year. He charted Needle Mania and now Sabine charted this for the SAL for members of The Sampler Life

This is Part 1

Part 2 & 3

And now Part 4, 5 & 6

I've modifed it a bit, changed the ABC's and put the name of the chart on top instead, removed the part of the center motif and will stitch my Chinese surname in it.

I'm using Vikky Clayton's premium silk on 32 count linen.

Thanks for looking.

I am glad this group is going again. I will try to figure out how to post photos again. I am working on a Cross stitch Collectables Fractal right now. BOY is that taking a LONG time. I've been working on it for it seems forever and I am not even half done yet.

I did recently complete The Grand rose from the Silver Lining. I am also working on this year's Christmas ornament presents Miss April. It is lavender this year.

I am in the process of a MAJOR house remodel. It was supposed to be done by Christmas but now it looks like April.

I do have a website. http://web.me.com/larryread/Site/
I am a little behind in posting but there are some needle work photos there.

Hi Larry

I just changed your link, somehow it didn't work initially.

I love the pictures of the beer festival. Looks at those crates of beers !!! Your fractal is growing slowly and I really like it on black !

House remodeling is usually a nightmare. Hopefully it'll be done soon.

Have started working on the bottom row now. I decided to scan this part with the scanner as it would show the colours better.

This was the second I charted my surname and I think I'm getting better, LOL. A new budding designer, probably not. LOL

It was a bit strange changing back from over 1 to over 2 stitching, wow the stitches were suddenly so big. And yes, there is 1 stitch there in the wrong place which had been fixed.

Thanks for looking
